Not much has been said or heard about "Hera Pheri", ever since it was announced two years ago, except that Akshay Kumar is now back. Nearly half the movie which had been shot with the new cast has now been shelved.
Catch News has reported that the current cast – Akshay, Paresh Rawal and Suneil Shetty — will be joined by Femina Miss India International 2011 Ankita Shorey. So, will Akshay romance Ankita? Time will tell.
Because there has been no official announcement yet, this can be, at best, be considered a speculation.
Meanwhile, here's why the third instalment has been delayed for this long:
Producer Feroz Nadiadwala had kick-started the project with John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, Paresh and Suneil. But just a few weeks into the film, the makers ran out of money.
Why are John and Abhishek out of the film?
While the "Housefull 3" actor, Abhishek said, "it just didn't work out," the "Dishoom" star, John clarified that it was not money (as was being reported) that made him bow out of the project.
I get no pride in saying that I charge so much more. I just need to be appreciated and I am very simplistic in my heart about my profession, not corrupted where money is concerned. A lot of people say that John is a smart businessman. There is nothing wrong in being smart or being a businessman, but does that mean that I charge irrationally? The answer is no, I don't," John told ANI.
To be directed by Neeraj Vora, the third part may also see Nargis Fakhri and Neha Sharma in key roles.
