HT Most Stylish Awards 2016 winners list: SRK named Most Stylish Global Icon; Ranveer, Alia, Sidharth bag top honors [PHOTOS +VIDEOS]

The HT Most Stylish Awards 2016 red carpet was laid out for Bollywood's best (March 20, Mumbai), who stepped in looking fresh off a fashion runway. Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra among others were named winners of the night.

SRK, who had just gotten back from Dubai after attending another award show, had a wise tip for those interested in fashion. "Wear your attitude, wear a good perfume, wear the clothes that suit you. Don't try to be stylish any other way," he said at the press conference.

He also said he never considered himself to be stylish and added, "You should see me when I wake up in the morning, it takes a long time (to look the way he does every time he walks the red carpet)."

Ranveer looked like he had taken the superstar's tip quite seriously. Wearing a blazing red suit and oversized tinted shades, the "Befikre" actor owned the scene completely. He also broke into an impromptu jig with Anil Kapoor and posed away for the shutterbugs.

"Be yourself, be a good person, a kind person. Spread love, spread joy, spread happiness. Express yourself, don't filter whatever you are feeling and you should be good," the young actor said and continued with an important style advise Shah Rukh gave him, "a man should always smell good."

Known for his off-beat sense of style, Ranveer has been the one who has dared to experiment with his sartorial choices. He has tried and failed, but never been deluded about the fashion mistakes he has made.

"There is one fashion faux pas that I remember very clearly. I had gone for Anupama Chopra's chat show. There was a particular suit that I was wearing. Mr. Bachchan was also on that chat show, and I went up to him and I was like 'sir, do you like my suit, how am I looking? He said, 'Son, you look like a plant,'" he recalled.

Parineeti Chopra, who was a vision in her coat-dress, confessed she isn't too comfortable about "style-related stuff" and added it was an acquired talent. Katrina Kaif named SRK the most stylish actor of the industry, while Alia Bhatt gave the tag to Amitabh Bachchan.
