Maruti Suzuki has pulled the wraps off its first crossover, S-Cross, in India. S-Cross, which will compete against the likes of Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport, has been priced competitively, starting at 8.34 lakhs.

S-Cross, the latest from Maruti's stable, will compete against the likes of Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport. It has already started reaching the company's new Nexa showrooms and is expected to fall in the price range of Rs 8-11 lakh. The S-Cross will be the first model to be sold through Maruti's premium showrooms Nexa and the model will be followed by the company's upcoming premium hatchback YRA.
S-Cross Engine Specs and Mileage
The engine line-up of S-Cross will include two diesel engine options -- 200 DDiS 1.3-litre diesel motor that can churn out 89bhp of power and 200Nm of torque, and 320 DDiS 1.6-litre diesel that is tuned to pump out 118bhp and 320Nm of torque.
While the DDiS 200 engine will come paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox with an ARAI certified mileage figure of 23.65kmpl, the latter will get six-speed manual transmission and is tuned to deliver a fuel efficiency of 22.7kmpl.
S-Cross Variant and Colour Details
Maruti S-Cross will be offered in five exterior body colours - Urban Blue, Caffeine Brown, Granite Grey, Premium Silver and Pearl Arctic White and is likely to be offered in eight trims: 1.3L Sigma, 1.3L Sigma (O), 1.3L Delta, 1.3L Zeta, 1.3L Alpha, 1.6L Delta, 1.6L Zeta and 1.6L Alpha.
S-Cross Dimensions
Maruti S-Cross measures 4,300mm in length, 1,765mm in width, and 1,590mm in height and has a ground clearance of 180mm.
Features
Mauti S-Cross will boast of features like four power windows, tilt adjustable power steering, electrically adjustable ORVMs, TFTmulti-information display, SmartPlay infotainment system and ABS.
