Aamir Khan's "PK" (Peekay) might have scored less at the domestic box office, but in the international market it has gotten a very good response.

The film has shattered the opening weekend record of this year's blockbuster movies "Happy New Year" and "Kick" with big margin. The second day collection of the film at overseas box office was better than opening day.

In international market, where "PK" was released in over 600 screens, it registered a jump of around 40 percent in all circuits.

"PK" also broke the record of Aamir's last film in North America. In its opening weekend, Aamir starrer minted approximately ₹47 crore from overseas box office, accoring to Bollywood Hungama

The opening weekend total of the film is the fourth highest at the overseas box office this week. The overseas box office chart is dominated by Hollywood films and "PK" has managed to grab fourth spot in it. 

According to RENTRAK, "PK" is at fourth after "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies", "Gone with the Bullets" and "Night at the Museum". 

It had the highest opening day collection from North America (US-Canada) box office, beating "Happy New Year" and "Dhoom 3" record. Furthermore, the film witnessed approximately 40% jump in its business on second day at North America box office. 

With its successful run, the film scored the 10th position at the North American box offices. In its opening, "PK" minted ₹22.18 crore (3.5 mil USD) from the US-Canada box office.

The opening weekend growth report of "PK" is same in other countries as well. From the UK-Ireland box office it minted ₹6.41 crore, beating "Happy New Year" ₹5.59 crore (£ 568,183) three day total.

At Australian and New Zealand box office also "PK" broke "Happy New Year" record. "PK" also registered itself as the second highest opening weekend grosser in Australia after "Dhoom 3".

It collected ₹3.51 crore from Australia, whereas "Happy New Year" collected ₹2.05 crore. From New Zealand market, it earned ₹83.99 lakh, while "Happy New Year" revenue stands at ₹73.02 lakh.

The opening weekend collection report of Gulf Region is not updated yet, but in its opening day "PK" minted ₹4.04 crore.

At several circuits including Australia, New Zeeland and the UK, "PK" has managed to grab the second spot with its debut weekend total.

Meanwhile, at the worldwide box office "PK" has managed to cross the ₹100 crore mark. After adding the overseas total, the worldwide collection of "PK" stands at ₹125.11 crore.
