John Abraham's "Welcome Back" has shown decent growth at the worldwide box office on Saturday and its two-day approximate total collection stands at Rs 44.40 crore in the global market.

"Welcome Back" is a sequel to 2007 blockbuster "Welcome". The huge success of the prequel had created a lot of hype for the movie, which is made on a budget of Rs 88 crore. Its makers have shelled out a hefty sum on its promotions. The film registered decent advance booking on its first day.

The John Abraham and Shruti Haasan starrer was released in over 3,500 cinema halls in the domestic market and 500 screens in the key international markets. It registered good response and collected approximately Rs 22.35 crore at the worldwide box office on its first day.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#WelcomeBack has an EXCELLENT Day 1... Fri ₹ 14.35 cr. India biz... Biz should MULTIPLY further over the weekend. SUPER!" He added, "#WelcomeBack has a SOLID start Overseas. Thu+Fri: $ 1.2 million [₹ 8 cr]. SUPERB!"

The movie received mixed reviews from both film critics and movie buffs around the world. The word of mouth factor took its business upwards on Saturday. It recorded over 15 percent growth in collections on the second day.

The Anees Bazmee-directed action comedy entertainer is estimated to have earned Rs 17.05 crore nett at the Indian box office on the second day. Its two domestic total collection stands at Rs 31.40 crore nett. Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#WelcomeBack witnesses an UPWARD TREND on Sat. Biz is ROCKING. Fri 14.35 cr, Sat 17.05 cr. Total: ₹ 31.40 cr. India biz."

The two-day collection of "Welcome Back" is almost closer to the mark of the opening weekend collection of "Welcome", which had reportedly collected Rs 35 crore nett in the domestic market in three days. The movie is likely to cross Rs 50 crore mark in the domestic market

"Welcome Back" has also witnessed decent growth in the international markets and it is estimated to have earned Rs 5 crore at the overseas box office on the second day. Its two-day international business stands at Rs 13 crore.
